Well we survived Christmas, Las Vegas, The New Years and have settled back into reality. I can't say that we settled back into a routine because this week I have been picking up the kids from school. Can I get an AMEN for laptops and Internet modems that work off of cell phone towers????? I am truly mobile.
I have yet to upload any pictures to Winkflash from our holiday so I have none to post here either. It's just me chatting at you. :-)
The kids once again were very fortunate this year. Santa brought them (ok and mommy and daddy too) ROCKBAND and movies. Momma has the Bass guitar beats while Anthony can jam singing Paramore's That's What You Get song. Dad and Jax kill on Survivor's Eye of the Tiger. Dad plays the Electric Guitar and Jax is a killer drum player. Taylor...she needs some work. If songs aren't from The Wizard of Oz movie she's just not interested. I'll have to learn how to post some video of us playing. Before school started it was a nightly ritual to play after baths and showers. Hahaha we can call ourselves the Pajama 5.
School is back in session. The kids are excited to be with their friends again. I can tell that the boys grew over the break. Jeans that were long on Jackson and needed to be cuffed 3 times, now only need 2. Anthony's uniform pants are starting to reveal a bit of sock and his shirts are getting tighter in the shoulders. I'm hoping their long pants hold out a few more months! I just need to get them through March/April and it's back to wearing shorts...except on Mass days for Anthony. Even Taylor's dresses are getting tighter and shorter on her. Fortunately with it being so cold in the morning, she is still fine wearing sweats, leggings and jeans. I let her wear the dresses at home only.
I haven't asked the kids what their New Years Resolutions are. Nor has Tony volunteered his to me. Ahhh, maybe after Chinese New Year we'll make them.
The boys will be participating in a few Taekwondo tournaments this month and in March. That'll be exciting for Jackson since he's now in Black Belt Club and will be on the tournament circuit like his brother. They'll both be doing forms, weapons and sparring. Tournament sparring has so much more contact than class sparring. If Anthony survives sparring in this upcoming tournament, I'll seriously consider football for him. The boys are taking a tennis clinic on Sundays as well. Taylor's dance class is preparing for their dance recital in May and we are starting to gear up for what appears to be a wild and busy 2009. I can't wait to see what kind of chaos ensues!
Happy New Year and we hope that all your goals come to fruition!
